I've been studying and arranging a number of Domenico Scarlatti's sonatas these days and ran across this wonderful performance of the brilliant K208, as played by Andreas Staier. I love the way his rhythm bends, dips, falls apart, comes to full stop, and yet always feels human and expressive. It's a sort of improvisation in many ways - a form of speaking.

Hi, What sonatas have you been studying/arranging? I am currently working on K 209 and K 213. Both great pieces for the guitar.
K 213 is about done - it's lovely. K 209 is also on my list, but I love Manuel's version of it. It would be hard not to imitate his. K 87 is next on my list. I'm going to arrange 10 of them altogether.
Ok, im not sure if you meant that you transcribed k. 213? If so will you be publishing these arrangements? I would love to compare to the fisk transcription that I am currently using.
Wonderful performance of K208..I love the way he makes his rhythm so unique and human. Good luck on your arrangements of Scarlatti sonatas. I look forward to playing your publication in near future. Thanks for sharing this wonderufl music.
